Junior MERN stack developer

Job Overview

We are looking for a MERN Stack Developer with around 2 years of professional experience to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building responsive, scalable web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.

You will work closely with developers, designers, and product teams to develop new features, improve existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality software.

Responsibilities Develop and maintain web applications using the MERN stack. Build responsive and reusable frontend components using React.js. Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and Express.js. Design and optimize database schemas and queries using MongoDB. Integrate third-party APIs and external services. Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code. Debug and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecks. Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices. Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and other developers. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning. Write and maintain technical documentation when required.

Requirements 2 years of professional experience as a MERN Stack Developer or similar role. Strong knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript. Good hands-on experience with: React.js Node.js Express.js MongoDB Experience developing and consuming REST APIs. Understanding of Git and version control workflows. Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design. Familiarity with authentication mechanisms such as JWT/OAuth. Basic understanding of application security and performance optimization. Good problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Nice to Have Experience with Next.js. Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms. Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest or React Testing Library. Experience working in Agile development environments.
